Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, is Tuesday March 8, 2011. Celebrate with a pancake supper prepared by the men of Kimberley United Church.
Time: 5-7 pm
Place: Lower hall, Kimberley United Church
Cost: $10/person, $5/child (age 6-12) or free for under age 6.
You will be served pancakes and sausages, along with coffee, tea and dessert.
This is a time for good fellowship and the proceeds will raise funds for the projects of Kimberley United Church.
Everyone is welcome.
Camp Stone was the setting, and the weather was perfect. About 70 people showed up for the 2nd annual Family Day Camp, and both children and adults had a good time. There were stories, games, crafts, nature walks, lunch and more.
2010 Auction night
Sunday evening a good crowd came to the dessert party and auction. An amazing collection of items and services had been offered for auction, and the crowd loved them. Final total is being tallied, but it looks like the auction will net over $4,000 for the ministries of Kimberley United Church.
The auctioneers kept things hopping, and the strawberry shortcake was delicious.
A special thank you to Pastoral Care and Fellowship who did the organizing, those who donated to the auction and to the 75 people who showed their support by showing up. More pictures on the Pictures page.

No cover charge, but everyone pays for their own drinks and food.

Mustard Cutters entertain at Spring Fling
Sunday April 18th was the Spring Fling luncheon hosted by Pastoral Care & Fellowship, following the worship service. A fine lunch was wrapped up with a singalong led by Marg and The Mustard Cutters.

Grey Pennington
All the World is pretty amazing when you are just getting your feet under you. Grey Pennington was the special guy for the lunch following Dancing Tots class at Kimberley United Church on February 23rd. The French call it ‘Mardi Gras’, and the English call it ‘Shrove Tuesday’. It’s the last day before Lent begins, and a good time for a fun family celebration.
The men of Kimberley United Church will be your gracious hosts, serving up a dinner of pancakes and sausages, along with coffee, tea, and dessert.
All for only $10 for adults, $5 for children age 6 – 12, free for children five and under.
