Pastoral Care & Fellowship
We are the people who look after the practical needs as a community.
Highlights
- Sunday Coffee and Tea service: includes various volunteers each week.
Kitchen supplies are kept up to date so the social times of the congregation go smoothly. - Card Sending: A written note of congratulations or concern is sent on behalf of the congregation.
- Hospital Visitation: Members of the congregation and community who are in hospital in Cranbrook will have a visit if they wish.
- Funeral Lunch Coordination: At a time of a funeral, we are there to arrange a lunch as part of the memorial service.
Shawl Ministry
The Pastoral Care & Fellowship members presented a shawl knitted by Rev Seaton to a senior member of the congregation who is no longer able to get out of home. This initiated the KUC Prayer Shawl Ministry at Kimberley United Church. Others have made shawls for this ministry. Some background can be found at www.shawlministry.com (with instructions on how to make a shawl). Examples of some of the shawls made so far are found in the Pictures gallery.
